Rolex GMT II Ceramic & Stainless

The 50th anniversary edition of the GMT II was revealed at BaselWorld in Switzerland in 2006.
This new model uses Rolex's patented Parachrom hairspring.  This overhaul makes this watch night and day different from the Pepsi, Coke and Black Bezel GMTs.

The new GMT II Ceramic represents the shape of things to come from Rolex with its Super Case, Maxi Markers, Fat Hands & Fat Lugs, and Triplock Crown.  The Ceramic bezel is extremely durable and resists fading and scratches.  The arabic numbers on the bezel are filled with a layer of platinum which is applied using a process named physical vapor deposition.
