Rolex Waypoint

...Rolex Pilot Shot Of The Day...

Rolex Waypoints

Many top-notch airplane pilots still wear and depend on their Rolex GMT-Master watch today as the ultimate tool watch for flying. Phil is an Airplane Pilot and he recently sent in the fascinating photo of his Pepsi Rolex GMT-Master with this fascinating message:

Hi Jake,

Pilots navigate through the air using 'waypoints': intersections of Latitude and Longitude that are given 5-letter names, which make them much easier to work with than using Lat/Long coordinates.

There are two waypoints called ROLEX: one in South East Asia, the other just to the north of England.

This photo was taken between Japan and Australia, in the flight deck of a Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

Regards,

Phil
