Eduardo's Daytona
Eduardo is a mining engineer from Chile in South America and he reads Jake's Rolex Watch Blog 7 days a week (according to Eduardo). I spoke with Eduardo yesterday and he shared a fascinating story about his wife Marcela. He mentioned he told Marcela he thought it would be a good idea if she would wear one of his men's sport model Rolex watches and at first she thought he was nuts.
She said she thought she should be wearing a much smaller watch, then Eduardo showed her many of the photos on Jake's Rolex Watch Blog of women wearing men's Rolex watches and won her over–now she is happily wearing a two-tone Rolex Submariner he bought for her.
Eduardo has been having a lot of fun lately photographing Rolex watches from his collection and he sent a bunch in share with you. Today's shots from Eduardo are of his two-tone Rolex Daytona. Great Shots Eduardo!!! Thanks for sharing!!! We will be seeing more from Eduardo in the future.

I started watching 60 Minutes when I was 11 years old and it has been my favorite TV show ever since. Scott Pelley is one of the main reporters on 60 Minutes and he is pictured below wearing his trademark stainless steel Rolex Daytona with the black dial. Scott is a flawless gentleman and a superb reporter.

Abel is from Buenos Aires, Argentina and he has been a big fan of Jake's Rolex Watch Blog for a long time now. As a matter of fact I dedicated the Mocha GMT story to him because he has been such a great fan.
Abel recieved his first Rolex (Submariner) from his parents when he was 18 as a high school graduation present–and that was 42 years ago!!! Abel wrote in originally and shared a great story about how he had been a big fan of the I Spy TV show which stared Bill Cosby and Robert Culp and Abel used to be fascinated with their Rolex Pepsi GMTs.
Ever since, Abel has been in love with the Rolex brand but he always had his Grail Rolex he wanted and after all these years he finally got it!!! It is a "No Crown Guard" James Bond Submariner. Abel sent in these photos of his fantastic new grail watch to share with you. On behalf of all the readers of Jake's Rolex Watch Blog, I would like to congratulate you Abel and extend our best wishes that you wear your Grail Rolex Well!!!!

The Real Single Red
The SEA-LAB SEA-DWELLER

We are in for a very special treat today!!! My great pal, Eric Ku is one of the top vintage Rolex dealers on Earth and he sent in these images of his ULTRA-RARE Single RED SEA-LAB Rolex SEA-DWELLER.
This watch was developed by Rolex with the United States NAVY SEA-LAB program and the Single Red SEA-DWELLER designation only appeared on the first production prototypes of this watch. How rare is the original Single Red? To date there are only 5 known examples and this is one of them and they are worth around $250,000.
One of the distinguishing characteristics of the original Single Red is that under the Single Red SEA-DWELLER designation it says SUBMARINER 500M-1650FT. Most SEA-DWELLERS have the 2000FT designation rating. Also note, on the dial the second text line under "ROLEX" the word "DATE" is much larger than "OYSTER PERPETUAL."
To make a long story short, Rolex developed the helium escape valve for the U.S. NAVY SEA-LAB Saturated Divers who during decompression experienced their Submariner crystals shooting out of their Rolex Submariner watches.
