Strange as it may or may not sound, I think many Rolex watch designs and brochures are high-art and these images from the 1970 Rolex USA catalog are no exception. I really like this first vintage Rolex Hotness image. It is remarkable how timeless the photo, watch, clothing and hairstyle is, and I love those beautiful light pink nails.

Many people have been in awe of these Rolex ads which which appeared in magazines between 2007-2009. I always wondered who this stunningly beautiful woman was? It took me a while, but I figured it out. Here name is Carmen Dell'Orefice, and it turns out Carmen has been a top haute couture model he entire adult life.

These Rolex ads ran toward the end of the reign of Rolex CEO, Patrick Heiniger, and are interesting as Heiniger had a flair for publishing images of beautiful women wearing Rolex watches...

Carmen Dell'Orefice was born in the United States and her career began 66 years ago in 1948 when she appeared twice that year on the cover of Vogue Magazine (pictured below) and her career continues to this day.

Pictured below is a Chanel No 5 perfume ad from 1958 featuring Carmen Dell'Orefice. Pretty amazing!!!! Today, Carmen Dell'Orefice remains the oldest working model in the world!!!

The Greatest Female Golfer

Lorena Ochoa is arguably the best female golfer playing today. She has been ranked number one in the world for the last three years from 2007 to 2010. Lorena is from Mexico and she is the first Mexican golfer to ever be ranked number one in the world.

Lorena is pictured below in a recent Rolex magazine ad wearing a ladies 31 Datejust. She usually wears her two-tone ladies 29mm Yacht-Master as seen in the photo above and in the last two photos in this story.

In the next two photos, Lorena is pictured at The Rolex Awards Dinner. In the photo below Lorena is posing with her LPGA player of the year trophy.

The Rolex Awards Dinner and reception was held at Donald Trumps Mar-A-Lago and we see (from left to right) Rolex representative, Peter Nicholson, Donald Trump, Lorena Ochoa and LPGA commisssioner, Carloyn Bivens.

1962 Rolex Ladies Watch Catalog is Breathtaking...

Marko from the German R-L-X.de Rolex forum is a big collector of Vintage Rolex Brochures and he is sharing this stunningly beautiful 44 page Ladies Rolex Catalog from 1962. The catalog covers the introduction of the Rolex King Midas ladies watch line. To my eyes, it appears this great Rolex catalog was inspired by Audrey Hepburn's character in "Breakfast at Tiffany's."

It is amazing how glamourous, beautiful and elegant the Rolex catalog is. 1962 was a great time in world history. J.F.K., was in the White House with his lovely wife, Jacki-O and Camelot was in full bloom. The Space-Race was moving full speed ahead. Times were good and anything was possible...

On behalf of Jake's Rolex Watch Blog and all the readers, I would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to Marko (Reckel) from the R-L-X.de forum in Germany who discovered this Rolex history gem.

I think we have all seen small bits and pieces of this in the past in low quality. I have done my best to bring it as close to the original that was printed in 1964 as I know how to do.

The most amazing thing about reading the Story of ROLEX is it gives you such a great official Rolex history lesson, from the perspective of a time capsule. I learned so much about Rolex history just from reading this 43 year old Rolex brochure. It is amazing to me how similar Rolex is today.

As Frank Sinatra said "There is something to be said for things that endure."
