Some Great NATO Shots...

Ever see a left handed Rolex?

I have not seen that many Rolex watches made for wearing on your right wrist.

Rolex watches for south-paws are very rare–but they exist as with this vintage Datejust.

I am so used to seeing the winding crown on the right side of the watch that it looks awkward to see it on the left side. Kind of like wearing two left shoes...

1962 Rolex Ladies Watch Catalog is Breathtaking...

Marko from the German R-L-X.de Rolex forum is a big collector of Vintage Rolex Brochures and he is sharing this stunningly beautiful 44 page Ladies Rolex Catalog from 1962. The catalog covers the introduction of the Rolex King Midas ladies watch line. To my eyes, it appears this great Rolex catalog was inspired by Audrey Hepburn's character in "Breakfast at Tiffany's."

It is amazing how glamourous, beautiful and elegant the Rolex catalog is. 1962 was a great time in world history. J.F.K., was in the White House with his lovely wife, Jacki-O and Camelot was in full bloom. The Space-Race was moving full speed ahead. Times were good and anything was possible...

I just put up the cover, introduction and first page of watches. I highly recommend you take a look at the entire catalog which you can view by clicking here.

Rolex Submariner Date on Leather Military Wristband Strap atop a Macbook Pro...

It is amazing how many different looks you can achieve with Stainless Steel Rolex watches by changing the bracelet.

This Rolex Submariner Date is on a shapely leather Military Wristband. This differs from the Paul Newman Black Leather Wristband which is wider and less shapely.

Rolex Wrist Shot of the Day: GMT II Ceramic Stainless Steel...

Percy (PCS) from the R-L-X.de forum sent in this excellent wrist shot of his Ceramic Supercase Rolex GMT II.

Rolex Lume Shot of The Day: GMT II next to GMT II Ceramic...

This is not only a great Lume shot, but a great comparison shot of the standard GMT II next to the new Ceramic GMT II with the Supercase, Maxi Markers, Polished Center links, Ceramic Bezel, Triplock Crown, Beefier Crown Guards, Quick comfort extension link, Fat Hands and Rolex running abound the inside the case wall.

Rolex Jean-Claude Killy Triple Date Chronograph...

This watch is dubbed "The Jean-Claude Killy" just like the "Paul Newman Daytona." It is a magnificent triple date Rolex Antimagnetic Chronograph. This watch design is unique for Rolex because it is basically a complicated Sport watch.

I don't know how it was dubbed the "Jean-Claude Killy, because I don't recall seeing a photo of him wearing it? but it is a very cool looking Rolex...

Jake's Quote of the Day: Hellen Keller on Security...

Security is mostly superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing. —Hellen Keller, The open door, 1957
