Rolex just dropped this new teaser video on Friday morning around 10:00AM CET, and I couldn't help but notice it appears to showcase a new Rolex Jubilee style bracelet I don't recall every seeing before. A normal, standard Jubilee bracelet features half round links, but this model features what appear to be squared off, flat links? Hmmmmn!?!!
The more I look at this image, I can't help but notice it looks like it might be made out of Titanium, and me first impression is that it reminds me of the design language from the original Oyster Quartz Jubilee bracelets from the 1970s, which were really cool looking....
The RETURN OF THE OYSTERQUARTZ?
How bizarre would it be if Rolex brought back the Oyster Quartz models??? I could not helps but notice the links on the bracelet in the teaser video, which are pictured above features similar geometry to the Rolex OysterQuartz Jubilee Bracelet geometry with the chamfered flat end links coupled with elongated, flat center links:
“The vision recurs; the eastern sun has a second rise; history repeats her tale unconsciously, and goes off into a mystic rhyme; ages are prototypes of other ages, and the winding course of time brings us round to the same spot again.”
—Mystic Rhyme 1845
FLAT EDGE NEW CASE DESIGN?
The teaser video appears to show a Rolex case that features flat edges, which is seen below. Maybe I am hallucinating, but once again, it sure odes reid me of the OysterQuarts case pictured above...
TITANIUM JUBILEE BRACLET?
The more I look at this new Rolex bracelet design, the more it looks like it's made out of titanium. Sorry, if I seem to be having a Rainman moment...
ROLEX SYLOXI
The teaser video also shows a Rolex Syloxi. What is a Rolex Syloxi you ask? This might be a new proprietary Rolex silicon Syloxi hairspring might become more standard, perhaps coupled with a natural escapement...
In the teaser video it show a corner of Central Park in New York City and it says "HERE AND NOW", with the camera pointed in the general direction of where the new Rolex U.S.A. headquarters is located at 665 Fifth Avenue in Midtown, Manhattan. This seems a little unusual, as I can't seem to find the actual building structure in the video image, but I assume that's what its demarcating. Apparently the new Rolex Building reached its halfway mark back in December of 2025, which was 3 months ago. I did some research at it said the Rolex Building is scheduled to be completed in December of 2025.
The illustrations below, if I understand it correctly shows a well tailored gentleman wearing a fedora strutting through Central Park and the Rolex Oyster Perpetual watch demarcates where the original Rolex building was in New York City.
Historically Rolex has always been extremely secretive and discreet, and no journalists in the past have ever been invited "INSIDE ROLEX" to explore and report on all four Rolex Manufacturing faclities in Switzerland.
In November 2013, this changed when Rolex invited Jake to take an unprecdented journey into the heart of Rolex to learn and report on everything he witnessed and learned.
This Super-Detailed 3 Part Story is a "MUST READ" story for anybody who wants to understand what really makes Rolex tick.
