Gustavo Dudamel is considered by many to to be the best conductor alive today, or certainly one of them. Gustavo is currently the Principal Conductor of the Gothenburg Symphony in Gothenburg, Sweden as well as the Music Conductor of the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
Gustavo was born Gustavo Adolfo Dudamel Ramirez on January 26, 1981 in Barquisemeto, Venezuela and is a violinist and conductor. His father was a trombonist and voice teacher and Dudamel became deeply involved in El Sisterna, from an early age.

Dudamel began studying conducting in 1995 and began conducting in 1999. He is picture below wearing his trademark Rolex Datejust.
