...It Doesn't Just Tell Time, It Tells History...
The Rolex Datejust began it's life not just being the archetype of the modern dress Rolex watch, but also as a technological powerhouse with many technological firsts including the first model with a date aperture window, as well as the first Rolex model to feature the Cyclops date magnifier window.
The Rolex Datejust was launched at the end of World War II, and was the first real Rolex tool watch. Not because it was waterproof and sturdy, but was the first real political tool watch as its super iconic Jubilee bracelet was instantly recognizable from across any room. In a twist of fate, after World War II ended, General Dwight D. Eisenhower was the first Supreme Commander of NATO and in 1948 began wearing his Datejust which was the 150,000th Officially Certified Swiss Chronometer.
