Thomas Kinkade Painter Of Light

...Rolex Super-Coolness...

Thomas Kinkade

Painter of Light

1958-2012

Pepsi GMT-Master & King Tut Submariner

Thomas Kinkade was an American painter, who is one of the most commercially successful artists of the 21st Century. How successful is his artwork today? Apparently, at least 5% of American homes have a copy of one of his paintings hanging in their home. Thomas Kinkade is pictured below sporting a yellow gold Rolex (King Tut: Gold and Cobalt Blue) Submariner.

Thomas Kinkade wore a yellow gold Rolex GMT-Master as seen above, and also wore a Pepsi Rolex GMT-Master as seen in the photos below.

Thomas Kinkade is to the 21st Century, what Pablo Picasso was to the 20th century, as far a being prolific, popular and commercially successful, and ironically they both wore the exact same Rolex model, which was a Pepsi Rolex GMT-Master!

Classic Christmas Paintings
Making Spirits Bright

"Every painting is a journey." –Thomas Kinkade

I decided to publish this story today, as a way to get into the Christmas spirit, since Thomas Kinkade's paintings are some of the greatest Christmas themed paintings. Thomas Kinkade's Christmas paintings are extremely ideal and heartwarming, and capture the essence of this most wonderful time of the year.

One could argue that Thomas Kinkade's paintings are similar to Norman Rockwell's in the sense that he is constantly attempting to capture this highly idyllic state of Americana. Thomas Kinkade grew up in Placerville, California, in the U.S.A., which is a city that you would pass through if you were traveling from the San Francisco Bay Area on you way to Lake Tahoe.

ANDY WARHOL Protege Painting Record

...2017 Story Preview...

ANDY WARHOL

Protégé Painting Record

I have been working on an epic, super-detailed story about the life and times of Andy Warhol for Jake's Rolex World, and I just learned that a painting from one of his Protégés—Jean-Michel Basquait—just sold a few minutes ago at a Sotheby's Auction for $110.5 Million, so I thought I would post this Rolex story preview. It seems quite apropos as I have been recently writing many stories about how Rolex watches have also been setting Auction records recently.

Jean-Michel Basquiat was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 22, 1960, and died at the early age of only 28, on August 12, 1988. Today his paintings are considered to be some of the greatest pieces of modern art, and one of his paintings titled "Untitled", which was just auctioned moments ago, set a new public auction sales record for an American artist when it was sold by Sotheby's on May 18, 2017 for $110.5 Million!!!!

"Untitled," 1982 Jean-Michel Basquiat Painting sold for $110.5 Million on May 18, 2017

If you want to learn more about Jean-Michel Basquiat I recommend checking out the documentary below. One of the reasons I am posting this, is that Jean-Michel Basquiat was the most talented protégé of Andy Warhol, and I cover Jean-Michel's career achievements in my article about Andy Warhol. As I mentioned earlier, I have been hard at work for some time on telling Andy Warhol's story, which it truly remarkable, and I look forward to publishing it as soon as I get it done!!!
