New Brand Ambassador: Kyle Edmund

Kyle Edmund told his Twitter followers last week that working with Rolex is “an incredible moment for me. Proud to partner with such a prestigious brand Rolex. Looking forward to being part of the team.” The announcement was made just before the Laver Cup began in Chicago, a Cup that his team won Sunday. I wrote about it on Twitter.
The Laver Cup is like nothing else: it pits Europe against the rest of the world and includes other tennis legends like Björn Borg, the team captain for Europe, and John McEnroe. It is fun to see so many tennis stars on one stage. Europe won.
I love the Rolex Yacht-Master that Kyle is wearing. I've tried one on at my AD. I was amazed how the Oysterflex bracelet makes it so comfortable to wear. The inside of the bracelet is equipped with a patented longitudinal cushion system that stabilizes the watch on the wrist. I also love bi-directional bezels (I don't dive but use my bezels all the time).
"My name is Edmund, Kyle Edmund." The British athlete wears the Yacht-Master very well with a grey suit and a white shirt. The black bracelet creates a good contrast with the grey suit. The gold on the case dresses it up. Bulgarian tennis player Grigor Dimitrov, left, also wears a Yacht-Master.
Below we can see both Edmund and Dimitrov (who makes a face) wearing Yacht-Masters.

Yellow Gold Rolex GMT Master II
50th Anniversary Celebration Model with Green Dial

Quincy Jones is an international musical treasure and his career achievements as a composer and arranger are unparalleled. Netflix debuted what they referred to as the "Definitive Documentary" on Quincy Jones life, and it was AMAZING!!! Quincy sports his yellow gold Rolex GMT-Master throughout the documentary as seen below.
The screenshot below from the "QUINCY" documentary shows Quincy Jones playing the piano and on his left wrist we see his yellow gold Rolex GMT-Master and on his right pinkie, we see Quincy wearing Frank Sinatra's yellow gold pinkie ring he wore for 40 years until he passed away. The ring features Frank Sinatra's family crest from Sicily. Frank Sinatra left his pinkie ring to Quincy Jones who has been wearing it ever since.
Quincy Jones learned how to play many different musical instruments when he was young and ended up focusing on playing the trumpet. Quincy (right) is pictured below with Dizzy Gillespie (center) back in 1955 in New York.
Photo above was taken by Herman Leonard in 1955 in New York City:

It is kind of ironic that Quincy Jones is wearing a GMT-Master a half-century after the photo above was taken!
The screenshot below is from the QUINCY documenary and it shows Dizzy Gillespie wispering to country music legend Willie Neslon and notice Quincy Jones is wearing his yellow gold Rolex GMT-Master.
The wristshot below shows a straight on of Quincy Jones yellow gold Rolex GMT-Master.

I have been publishing Jake's Rolex World for 11 years now, and in that time my banner has never changed, and if you look closely, on the right side you will notice it features the 50th Anniversary Yellow Gold Rolex GMT-Master with the forsest green dial.

Dr. Dre is featured in the Quincy Jones documentary is a podcast recording session that takes place at Quincy's home in Bel Air, California and notice Dr. Dre is wearing his yellow gold Rolex Masterpiece Day-Date.
In the photo below from the Quincy documentary we see a screengrab from a video that was taken decades ago, which shows a young Dr. Dre sporting a yellow Gold Rolex President.

By Capt. DANNY CRIVELLO

Pete is from New York. His father was a firefighter who died in service during the September 11 attacks; he was last seen running up the stairs of the World Trade Center, just prior to its collapse. Pete, who was seven years old at the time, was profoundly affected by the loss. He turned to comedy to cope.

Bob Woodward
...Rolex Investigative Reporter...
Bob Woodward
Stainless Steel Rolex Datejust
Bob Woodward is one of the most famous investigative journalists in history. He has written nineteen books and won two Pulitzer Prizes for his writing. He is most famous for uncovering the Watergate conspiracy that resulted in taking down the presidency of Richard Nixon in 1974.
All The President's Men
Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward were journalists for The Washington Post and we see them below during their Watergate investigation.
Carl & Bob wrote a famous book named All The President's Men which was made into a movie in 1976 that featured Robert Redford playing Bob Woodward, and Dustin Hoffman playing Carl Bernstein. Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman were two of the top actors in Hollywood at the time.
All The President's Men was nominated for 8 Academy Awards, of which it won four. Notice Robert Redford was wearing his Single Red Rolex Submariner Reference 1680 in the movie.
The photos above and below were press shots of Robert Redford from All The President's Men, and which prominently featured his Rolex Submariner. Back in 2008 I interviewed Rolex U.S.A. executive, T. Walker Lloyd about Rolex's relationship with Robert Redford which he talked about in detail in a podcast interveiw.
I will point out there was a continuity error in All The President's Men where Robert Redford's Rolex Submariner had it's winding crown unscrewed all the way as seen in the photos below.
In the photo below we see Dustin Hoffman, Carl Bernstein, Bob Woodward, and Robert Redford.
Deep Throat
Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein were contacted by a confidential and enigmatic source they refered to as "Deep Throat" in their book titled "All The President's Men." Deep Throat was a mole operating within the Nixon administration who fed them top-secret information which resulted in U.S. President Richard Nixon having to resign from office.
Deep Throat's identity was not revealed until May 31, 2005 when Vanity Fair ran an article on their website which revealed that Mark Felt who was the Associate Director of the FBI during the Nixon administration was indeed Deep Throat.

The video below shows Bob Woodward's Master Class he teaches an in it we see many shots of his Datejust.
The photo below shows Bob Woodward at Trump Tower in an elevator and we get a clear shot of his Rolex Datejust.
Last week Bob Woodward was interviewed on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and he was wearing his stainless steel Rolex Datejust. It appears that Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein are in hot pursuit of President Trump and are trying to take him down the way they took down fellow Republican President Nixon.
