It's that time of the year again; time for the Oscars! The 88th Academy Awards will be broadcast all over the world this evening, and it is interesting to note just how many past winners for Best Actor, Best Actress as well as Best Director wear Rolex.

There is a really fascinating story behind this Charlton Heston Rolex ad seen below. I originally learned about this Charlton Heston Rolex advertisement from T. Walker Lloyd who was a world renowned DEEP-SEA diver that ended up becoming a Rolex executive for 25 years.

I first discovered and documented that Jacques Cousteau wore a Rolex Submariner prototype while filming his Academy Award Winning 1956 Winning Documentary.
