Catching Up With ARM CANDEEE
Arm_Candeee has one of the best Instagram watch pages, and her Rolex watch collection is over-the-top AMAZING!!! She recently posted the photo above on her Instagram account which shows her rocking her Rolex Oyster Perpetual with a Tiffany Blue dial, which looks amazing!!!
Next up we have this incredible shot of her rocking her Pepsi GMT-Master...It is truly remarkable how incredible her color coordination is with matching your outfit and accessories so perfectly with her different Rolex watches.
Next we see her rocking her Rolex Submariner model which clearly lacks a date. My favorite detail is the perfectly symmetrical balance this look achieves :-0

I Couldn't Help Myself!?!! Is Pedro, Jared Kushner!?!!
I Couldn't Resist!?!!
Pedro is Jared Kushner Doppelgänger
Every time I would look at the awesome picture of Pedro from my story titled "Live Photos of the All -New Titanium Rolex DEEPSEA CHALLENGE...In the Wild Shots from Around The Web", I kept thinking 'Man, Pedro looks familiar!?!!' Then I figured it out!!! He is Jared Kushner's Doppelgänger/Look-Alike Twin!!!
Then, for some reason, when I would look at Pedro's photo, the superb song, 'Ooh La La' by Goldfrapp would start playing in my head, so I decided to string it all together in my first really silly Instagram Reel/Meme. For some bizarre reason, when I watch the video with the music playing, on loop, I find it to be transfixing...Believe Me!, Believe Me!

Inside Rolex: Instagram Animations
By DANNY CRIVELLO
Take a look at the Perpetual rotor self-winding mechanism, which is one of the 400 innovations patented by Rolex in the last 90 years. When Rolex watches have solid case backs, it is nice to see this:
Below is the Rolex silicon hairspring in action:
I also love the animation of the vertical clutch of the Daytona. It works on the principle of friction contact between two discs, like the clutch in a car:
Below is the Triplock winding crown of a GMT-Master II, which has three sealed zones fitted with high-performance gaskets:
Another Rolex invention is the gas escape valve for the Sea-Dweller. It allows the helium trapped in the watch to be released at a given pressure during decompression. It is a one-way safety valve:
The very comfortable, yet robust Oysterflex. This animation shows the superlastic metal blade inside the Oysterflex:
Finally, let's take a look at the perpetual calendar of the Sky-Dweller. A "satellite" wheel rotates and orbits a fixed "planetary" wheel in one month. One of the satellite’s fingers receives an additional impulse on the four 30-day months, making the calendar disc jump from the 30th to the 1st to display the correct date:

White Gold Pepsi GMT-Master
I was just checking out Rolex's Instagram account an noticed this post on the new white gold Pepsi GMT-Master, which features a blue dial. For some reason, I am still getting used to the blue dial and I think it is growing on me...
Just for frame of reference I am including a side by side comparision image that shows the stainless steel Pepsi GMT-Master next to the white gold Pepsi GMT-Master:

...Rolex Studio Shot of the Night...
I just noticed this really beautiful image on Rolex's Official Instagram Page, which is very cool looking. I am really curious as to what city that is in the background? Also, I think those cufflinks are way too ordinary looking...

Rolex MoonPhase
Rolex MoonPhase
Instagram History Showcase
Rolex recently published these amazing historical Rolex moonphase images on their Instagram page:
A post shared by ROLEX (@rolex) on
The images below show the three Rolex Moonphases from the Instagram post. Rolex begins with the Reference 8171, then shows the Reference 6062.
The fundamental difference between the Rolex Moonphase Reference 8171 pictured above, with was from 1949, compared to the Reference 6062, which is seen below, and is from around 1953, is the 6062 features a waterproof Oyster case, whereas the 8071 (pictured above) is not housed in a waterproof case.
I have to say that seeing Rolex post these images on the web sends shivers down my spine (in a good way). I say this as it is the very first time I recall Rolex showing the original moonphase watches from the late 1940s and 1950s since the 1950s!!! This is so cool...
The image below shows Rolex's current modern interpretation of the Moonphase, which comes in the form of a Rolex Cellini version.
What do I think about the current Rolex Cellini Moonphase? I think it is a great step in the right direction, but I also think there is tremendous room for improvement. In my opinion as a designer, it has way too much going on the dial and lacks the Day and Month aperture windows. In the image below I superimposed the Day and Month aperture windows on the current Moonphase, which I think makes it look way better. Also, I would replace the sword hands with the original Dauphine hands seen which came standard on the Rolex moonphase reference 8171 and 6062.
I am working on a story titled, "The Complete History of The Rolex Moonphase", which I will go into great detail on these magnificent Rolex watches. I have been saying for a long time that Rolex should bring back the complicated Rolex Moonphase models, so when they recently introduced them at BaselWorld I was happy to see the return of the moonphase.
Just for the sake of illustrating my point, I put the 8171 dial in the new Cellini Moonphase case, which I believe perfectly makes my case...

No 2. Rolex Instagram BaselWorld 2016 Teaser

No 2. Rolex Instagram BaselWorld 2016 Teaser
I just noticed Rolex put up another teaser video on Rolex.com as well as on their Instagram page! which you can see by visiting Instagram.com/Rolex.
So What are we seeing this time? It is so hard to say? Maybe it's a Rolex Smart Watch? Whatever it is, the case and bezel look extremely curvy and symmetrical, although it could just be fancy camerawork. It is obviously worth noting that all the top Rolex Instagram images are Rolex Daytona related. Now I'm really curious!!!

Rolex BaselWorld 2016 Teaser

Rolex Instagram BaselWorld 2016 Teaser
BaselWorld 2016 is just around the corner, and it starts on March 16, 2015. I just noticed that Rolex posted a BaselWorld 2016 teaser on their Instagram.com/Rolex page. So what are we seeing?
My best guess is that it looks like a Rolex Daytona lame pattern since the 3, 6 and 9 5 minute markers are shorter and there is not a marker at 12, since the Daytona has a Rolex Crown in this position. So what does this mean? Hopefully we are going to be seeing a larger Daytona at 42 or 44MM. Rolex seems to be getting pretty hip when it comes to social networking...
You can place your cursor over the Instagram image below and a play button will appear, which you can press to view the short Rolex video.
The photos below were taken by a reader of Jake's Rolex World named Eduardo Cordova of his stainless steel Rolex Daytona, and when you study them you can see the classic Daytona lame patter which looks almost identical to the Rolex Instagram teaser seen above.
