Rolex Wrist Shot of the Day: Yellow Gold GMT II Ceramic Black Dial & Bezel

One of my favorite design features of the new GMT Ceramic is how flat is sits on your wrist. 

I think the ideal design objective is to make the watch look like it is part of your wrist and since this watch has no bubble-back whatsoever it lays completely flat.

1953 Pink Gold Rolex Triple Date Moonphase...

Considered by many Rolex Collectors to be the Ultimate Rolex Wristwatch, the Reference 6062 is an absolute Timeless Masterpiece.  

Christie's Sold this Ultra-Rare Rolex watch for $290,512.  It may be one of a kind in Pink Gold with this dial.

The Jubilee bracelet is the original bracelet that came with the watch in 1953.

This is about as rare as it gets in the wonderful world of Rolex...

I think Rolex should bring this design back as a production model.

Its design language is so pure, elegant timeless, functional and flawless.

I think it would sell really well...Especially if Rolex made it in 40MM...I really hope Rolex brings back complicated watches and gives Patek a run for its money...After all it is a part of the Rolex legacy that deserves not to be ignored, and should be celebrated...

Extremely Rare Blue Bezel Rolex GMT Master....

This Blue Bezel Rolex GMT with a Jubilee bracelet from 1970 is extremely rare and very cool.  This Reference 1675 GMT Master has Maxi Markers and looks great.  It was sold by Christie's for $35,754.

Rolex "Pre Daytona" Chronograph...

This 1964 Rolex "Pre-Daytona" Chronograph is a beauty. 

In the days before the Daytona the numbers that are on the Daytona bezel were on the dial as seen here.  Also this watch had the designation of "Rolex Chronograph", whereas with the Rolex Daytona, Rolex created a new word when the began calling it "Rolex Cosmograph."

This watch was sold by Christie's Action house for $173,088.
