Introducing
The Lexus LFA Supercar
A Super-Car Is Born
Lexus, which is owned by Toyota, completely changed the rules of the game in the luxury car business when the first introduced their LS 400 in 1989. The original LS 400 completely rocked the auto-world and caused German brands like Mercedes and BMW to completely re-evaluate everything.
Five years ago, Lexus decided to develop a new super-sport-car and they named is the LFA. Several weeks ago, Lexus finally started selling LFA models and they are only making 500 per year, of which 150 are destined for the U.S. and only 10 for Canada.
The Lexus LFA Supercar is priced at 320,000 Euros which is around a $500,000. The LFA is a mind-boggling piece of engineering that pushes the technology envelope as it has never been pushed before.
The Lexus LFA uses state of the art components including a great deal of carbon-fiber to increase structural integrity while shedding substantial weight. The most interesting characteristic of the LFA in my mind is that it has this crazy performance, but is highly dependable and comfortable like a standard Lexus.
These next two photos of the matte-black Lexus LFA appear courtesy of The-Perfect-Exposure.blogspot.com. The lines of this car remind me of the original Toyota Celica Supra that came out in the early eighties.
The Lexus LFA has a front-engine design and is made to compete with the Mercedes SLC Gullwing and the Ferrari 599 GTB and Enzo Ferrari, as well as the Mclaren F1. The Lexus LFA sports a 4.8 Liter V10 Engine that puts out 552 Horse Power and it is also equipped with ceramic brakes!!!
