Congratulations to Martin Scorsese for his Oscars nomination for Best Director and Best Film for "Killers of the Flower Moon," setting a director record among living filmmakers. He is now the most nominated living movie director.

Martin Scorsese has directed some of the most classic and seminal films in a career that has spanned six decades. This list of profound films includes Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, The Color of Money, Cape Fear, Good Fellas, Casino, The Aviator, Gangs of New York, The Departed, Hugo, The Irishman, The Wolf of Wall Street and Killers of the Flower Moon.


Martin Scorsese's films have received more than 80 Academy Award nominations, of which they have won 20, including Best Director. He has 10 Best Director nominations, surpassing Steven Spielberg who has nine. Scorsese has won that category just once with The Departed.
